1. INTRODUZIONE ED ARCHITETTURA DI PRIVACY

La presente Informativa descrive le modalità di trattamento dei dati personali relative all'utilizzo della piattaforma CieSmartSign (applicazione web ed applicazione iOS Companion per iPhone).

CieSmartSign è progettata secondo il principio di Privacy by Design e Privacy by Default. L'applicazione consente di firmare digitalmente documenti PDF in formato PAdES (Firma Elettronica Avanzata conforme eIDAS) utilizzando la Carta d'Identità Elettronica (CIE) come dispositivo sicuro di firma (SSCD), senza conservare alcun documento o dato personale su server remoti.

2. TIPOLOGIA DI DATI E MODALITÀ DI TRATTAMENTO

A. Documenti PDF

I file PDF caricati per la firma vengono elaborati ed elaborati temporaneamente in memoria per il solo calcolo dell'impronta digitale SHA-256 e per l'applicazione del timbro visibile PAdES. I documenti ed i loro contenuti non vengono mai salvati in database o archivi persistenti remoti.

B. PIN della Carta d'Identità Elettronica (CIE)

Il PIN a 8 cifre della CIE inserito dall'utente nell'app iOS Companion viene salvato **esclusivamente in locale** nel Secure Enclave / Keychain del dispositivo iOS dell'utente. Il PIN viene protetto da crittografia hardware ed accessibile solo previa autenticazione biometrica (Face ID o Touch ID). Il PIN non lascia mai lo smartphone e non viene mai inviato in rete.

C. Certificato Digitale X.509 della CIE

Durante la scansione NFC, l'app legge dal chip della CIE il Certificato Digitale X.509 contenente il nome ed il cognome del titolare, necessari ai sensi di legge (Regolamento UE eIDAS n. 910/2014) per la validità legale della Firma Elettronica Avanzata (FEA). Tali dati vengono integrati direttamente all'interno della struttura della firma crittografica PAdES del documento PDF firmato ed immagazzinati esclusivamente nel documento finale scaricato dall'utente.

3. COOKIE, TRACCIAMENTO ED ANALITICHE DI TERZE PARTI

CieSmartSign NON utilizza cookie di profilazione, NON integra strumenti di tracciamento pubblicitario e NON utilizza SDK di analisi dati di terze parti (come Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel o simili). La piattaforma rispetta appieno la riservatezza degli utenti.

4. CONSERVAZIONE DEI DATI

Nessun dato relativo ai documenti, alle firme ed al firmatario viene conservato nei sistemi server al termine della sessione di firma. Il documento firmato rimane di esclusiva pertinenza dell'utente che lo scarica direttamente sul proprio dispositivo.

5. DIRITTI DELL'INTERESSATO (GDPR)

In conformità al Regolamento Generale sulla Protezione dei Dati (UE 2016/679 - GDPR), poiché CieSmartSign non conserva alcun dato personale sui propri server, non è presente alcun archivio centrale da cui cancellare o modificare dati. L'utente ha il completo ed esclusivo controllo sui dati salvati sul proprio dispositivo (es. eliminazione del PIN dalle impostazioni dell'app iOS).

1. INTRODUCTION AND PRIVACY ARCHITECTURE

This Privacy Policy describes how personal data is processed when using the CieSmartSign platform (web application and iOS Companion app for iPhone).

CieSmartSign is engineered following the principles of Privacy by Design and Privacy by Default. The app allows users to digitally sign PDF documents in PAdES format (eIDAS-compliant Advanced Electronic Signature) using the Italian Electronic Identity Card (CIE) as a secure signature creation device, without storing any documents or personal data on remote servers.

2. DATA TYPES AND PROCESSING METHODS

A. PDF Documents

PDF files uploaded for signing are processed temporarily in memory strictly to calculate the SHA-256 digest and apply the visible PAdES signature stamp. Documents and their contents are never stored in databases or remote persistent storage.

B. CIE PIN

The 8-digit CIE PIN entered by the user in the iOS Companion app is saved **exclusively locally** inside the user's iPhone Secure Enclave / Keychain. The PIN is protected by hardware encryption and accessible only upon biometric authorization (Face ID or Touch ID). The PIN never leaves the smartphone and is never transmitted over the network.

C. CIE X.509 Digital Certificate

During the NFC scan, the app reads the X.509 Digital Certificate from the CIE chip containing the cardholder's full name, required by law (EU eIDAS Regulation No 910/2014) for the legal validity of the Advanced Electronic Signature (AES/FEA). This data is embedded directly into the cryptographic PAdES signature structure of the signed PDF document and stored solely within the final document downloaded by the user.

3. COOKIES, TRACKING, AND THIRD-PARTY ANALYTICS

CieSmartSign does NOT use profiling cookies, does NOT integrate advertising trackers, and does NOT use third-party analytics SDKs (such as Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel, or similar). The platform fully respects user privacy.

4. DATA RETENTION

No data related to documents, signatures, or signers is retained on server systems after the signing session completes. The signed document remains under the exclusive control of the user, who downloads it directly to their device.

5. USER RIGHTS (GDPR)

In accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU 2016/679 - GDPR), since CieSmartSign stores no personal data on server systems, there is no central database from which to extract or delete data. Users retain full and exclusive control over data stored locally on their device (e.g., clearing the PIN from iOS app settings).
